Biography

Justine Jenkins is a highly acclaimed make-up artist with 23 years experience of beautifying the best of British & international celebrities. She is also a leading ethical, cruelty-free cosmetic pioneer and ambassador, and for the last 9 years has been committed to raising awareness to animal cruelty in the cosmetic industry, working alongside a number of charities including PeTA and Humane Society International. Cruelty free, vegan and organic make up are her speciality, regularly being part of panel discussions including those for the Soil Association and the Glamour Beauty Festival. Her clients include actors Keeley Hawes, Eleanor Tomlinson, Rose Leslie, Vicky McClure, Jodie Comer, Maxine Peake, Amy Poehler, Jessie Buckley, Millie Brady, Morven Christie, Ophelia Lovibond, Tuppence Middleton, Miranda Richardson, Aisling Bea, Sharon Horgan, and Elizabeth Moss – to name but a few. Editorials include Harpers,Town and Country, Stylist, Vogue, Stella, The Observer magazine, Red magazine, Glamour, Grazia, Hunger, Wonderland, Rollacoaster, The Times Luxx and Saturday Times magazine. Justine, or JJ as she is known,was a contributing author on Neals Yard Remedies Beauty Book, and her first solo book, Sustainable Beauty will be published on 21st December 2021.

Fleeing a stock-market career in the City, JJ enrolled at London College of Fashion where she studied Fashion and Media Make Up, before enrolling on a degree course for Make-up in T.V. and Film.  After graduation, a mix of hard work and a lucky break led her to the buzzing studios of MTV

Her elegant, flawlessly made-up clients have graced the covers of countless magazines including: Harpers Bazaar, Stylist, Red magazine and Grazia.

After a successful stint in film, notably Cold Mountain, starring Jude Law and Nicole Kidman, her career took her around the world. After deciding to leave the world of film behind, JJ has for several years focused on celebrity work and collaborates with leading photographers, creative directors and top stylists.

Her elegant, flawlessly made-up clients have graced the covers of countless magazines including: Harpers Bazaar, Stylist, Red magazine and Grazia, as well as a host of the broadsheet’s weekend magazine supplements.  Justine is also noted for creating a myriad of Red Carpet looks and she describes her signature look as ‘fresh, immaculate skin and classic natural beauty’

JJ is about to publish her first book, ‘Sustainable Beauty’ and is Creative Director for new sustainable vegan beauty brand Seeds Of Colour.
